Frequently Asked Questions
-
I am not in-network with any insurance plans.
However, many clients are able to use out-of-network benefits to receive partial reimbursement for therapy sessions. If your plan includes out-of-network mental health coverage, I can provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company.
You may find it helpful to contact your insurance provider and ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my deductible, and how much has been met?
What percentage of each session is reimbursed?
Is preauthorization required for outpatient therapy?
-
Many clients choose to pay out of pocket for added privacy, flexibility, or to avoid insurance restrictions on care.
Self-pay also allows us to focus fully on your needs without requiring a diagnosis for coverage or limiting the length of treatment.

I do not currently offer a sliding fee scale.

A strong therapeutic relationship is an important part of effective therapy. With that in mind, I offer free 20-minute initial consultations for prospective clients, so we can meet and get to know each other. If it feels like we may not be the right fit, I’m happy to discuss referrals and help connect you with other resources.
